$1,659.57 each in food aid for 47 Million Americans

$78 Billion dollars.
47 Million Americans.
$1,659.57 each.

There are millions of Americans struggling just to eat, but the only thing we see on the news is sports, dangers around the world (see: war; terrorism), politics & just how much money the stock exchange is worth (not to mention Jerry Springer).

Something doesn't seem right about this.  When Jesus says, "The poor will always be with us," how do we still achieve a point where we shut our eyes on reality?

Noun yields Verb

"But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it." ~Deuteronomy 30:14

   This "word of God" or, ultimately, any piece of knowledge or information that is true or part of us: we must do it. If we do not take what we know and do something then do we truly know it?
    If love is in your mouth and heart but not in your actions & deeds, is it love?
   If quality is in your statement and philosophy but not in you product, is it quality?
   If you say you have faith but don't do anything to prove it, would anyone believe you're actually faithful?

Re: Never Be

I'll never be who you want me to be.

I'll never stay in one place long enough for you to see
me every day, never there to hold your hand;
always going to the places where someone else demands
my attention and love - even though I love you.

I can't stay or be that guy that doesn't care;
can't watch others die lonely and in despair
without someone to just try;
without someone willing to sacrifice and die
like I would for you, which is why you love me.

I'll never stay where you are unless you go with me.
I can't stop because it's my life, and I must be free
or I'll be caged like those I risk to attend
who have no hope without the love shown me; and in the end
I want to never be someone except known by faith, hope and love.
And the greatest of these is love.
