Iron sharpens iron, but does lead sharpen titanium?

Proverbs 27:17 says that "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." But I've got to wonder: lead may be good for shielding Superman from Kryptonite, and so is a good defensive substance, but isn't it too soft to sharpen titanium?
I want to be titanium: forged and strong, refined & purified by high heat & pressure.
